ANZLIC’s Strategic Plan 2020-24 identifies modernisation of foundation spatial information and data1 as a key strategic initiative. 

The roadmap within ANZLIC’s Strategic Plan outlines modernising ANZLIC’s Foundation Spatial Data Framework (FSDF) as a key initiative, as well as driving development and adoption of open spatial data standards that align with and inform international standards.

This profile only requires several things on top of the VocPub profile:

  1. that vocabularies indicate GA is the publisher
  2. that the vocabulary, all Collections & Concepts have their main labels and definitions given in English

Geo-Commodities

The types of commodities in geoscience. Commodities have economic signifiance and are separate from host rock, accessory non-economic minerals, or other associated materials that are not commoditised. The commodity vocabulary is hierarchical, to represent each commodity as a member of a commodity category (eg, base metal, precious metal, industrial mineral, energy).

Plant Health Surveillance

Plant health surveillance is conducted by biosecurity agencies and industry to maintain food quality, prevent the spread of pests and facilitate trade in foodstuffs. The term Pest Record is defined in ISPM 6. International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) are standards adopted by the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM), which is the governing body of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC).
