Borehole Configuration

Submitted by chee.ng on Fri, 15/09/2023 - 13:07

A description of the intended configuration and trajectory of a borehole, covering concepts from the energy and mineral resources industry. Note that most of the concepts in this vocabulary apply to both the process of drilling (e.g. directional drilling), as well as to an actual borehole (e.g. directional well), even if the definitions in this vocabulary focus specifically on the latter.

Three Parks Savanna Fire-effects Plot Network

Submitted by javiersan18 on Fri, 23/06/2023 - 10:00

This data package comprises fire severity scores from Kakadu in 2014. A total of 220 permanent monitoring plots (40 m x  20 m) were established across three parks (Kakadu, Litchfield and Nitmiluk) in 1994-1995 to monitor biotic change. Of these, 132 plots are located in Kakadu. These sample a variety of landform and vegetation type/habitat conditions. A substantial proportion of plots were positioned deliberately at sites likely to reveal environmental dynamics, especially at ecotones and in patches of fire-sensitive vegetation. For example stands of Callitris, sandstone heaths.

TERN Ecosystem Processes

Submitted by javiersan18 on Tue, 30/05/2023 - 12:29

The TERN Ecosystem Processes dataset, delivered by TERN as Linked Data.

TERN’s Ecosystem Processes platform monitors the environment at a high level of detail at a small number of representative sites. The data collection methods for Ecosystem Processes include intensive field stations which combine instrumented or sensor measurements with classical field surveys and remote sensing activities at the sites located in significant Australian biomes, spanning a wide range of environmental conditions.

Williams Wet Tropics Vertebrate database

Submitted by javiersan18 on Tue, 30/05/2023 - 12:22

This database contains occurrence data for vertebrates across the Australian Wet Tropics. Species occurrence point data has been collected during field intensive surveys using a variety of sampling methods as well as from the literature and institutional databases. The records are divided into two tables: Misc_records and STD_records. The first contains records collated opportunistically, as well as records collected from literature. The latter is a collection of standardized surveys conducted by Steve E. Williams (JCU).

Feature Labelling Model

Submitted by nicholas.car on Wed, 26/04/2023 - 13:29

This model allows for complex labels may be assigned to geospatial features.

The purpose of this model is to act as an "upper" or background model for specialised feature labelling models, such as models for addresses, roads, administrative areas/boundaries, place names etc.
