Submitted by leonard.smith on Fri, 08/03/2024 - 16:06

A Semantic Web version of a physical archive on the demography and health of Indigenous Australians collected in a collaboration between Dr Gordon Briscoe and Dr Leonard Smith between 1970 and the present. The physical archive is curated by the Australian National University (ANU) Archives.

Data Roles

Submitted by admin on Wed, 28/02/2024 - 14:18

The roles that Agents - People and Organisations - play in relation to data. This is an extended and Semantic Web version of the International Organisation for Standardization’s ISO19115-1 standard.

This vocabulary is intended to replace other versions of the ISO Role Codes such as https://data.idnau.org/pid/vocab/idn-role-codes and be a central place, at least for Australian Linked Data, for these widely-used codes.

Borehole drilling method

Submitted by chee.ng on Thu, 15/02/2024 - 11:05

A list of drilling methods routinely used by the mineral and energy resource industries. The drilling methods are grouped into three main categories based on the dominant motion of the drillstem (i.e. the string of pipe that transmits power from the surface down to the drillbit) and drillbit (the part of the bottom-hole assembly that cuts, grinds or breaks the bottom-hole formation to make the hole). Specifically, the presence/absence of rotation in either or both is used as the main distinguishing factor, hence the main grouping into rotary, non-rotary and hybrid.

Northern Territory Vegetation Site Database

Submitted by javiersan18 on Fri, 23/06/2023 - 10:02

The Vegetation Sites Database (VSD) is a vegetation and land information system for managing systematically collected site based data and point source records (i.e. threatened species). It is used to store information on the floristics and structure of site based surveys as well as both fine and broader scale environmental attributes. VSD accommodates data requirements of DEPWS and outside agencies (including environmental consultants).

Three Parks Savanna Fire-effects Plot Network

Submitted by javiersan18 on Fri, 23/06/2023 - 10:00

This data package comprises fire severity scores from Kakadu in 2014. A total of 220 permanent monitoring plots (40 m x  20 m) were established across three parks (Kakadu, Litchfield and Nitmiluk) in 1994-1995 to monitor biotic change. Of these, 132 plots are located in Kakadu. These sample a variety of landform and vegetation type/habitat conditions. A substantial proportion of plots were positioned deliberately at sites likely to reveal environmental dynamics, especially at ecotones and in patches of fire-sensitive vegetation. For example stands of Callitris, sandstone heaths.

National Roads

Submitted by joseph.abhayaratna on Wed, 21/06/2023 - 07:09

ESRI File Geodatabase detailing Geoscape Australia's National Roads dataset, consisting of roads, street_locality_line and street_locality_alias tables. The roads table provides a linear vector representation of road features across Australia that delivers an optimised and aggregated view of road geometry and attribution. It identifies and describes transport routes that enable vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle transportation, as well as ferry routes that allow for transport across water.

Australian Information Security Classifications

Submitted by vkelly on Wed, 16/11/2022 - 10:59

A categorisation of information and data assets that reflects the potential level of damage done to an organisation from unauthorised disclosure, or compromise of confidentiality. The specific application of this classification is dependent on the nature of the information described and the person, organisation, or agency who has ownership and custodianship of that information.
